We are closed on Wednesdays.

Please note that the amount of fish ready for purchase, and available times, at the store will change depending on the catch and the return time of the boats.

Whether our local fishermen are currently fishing or not, we always have a wide selection of seasonal fish from all over Japan carefully selected by our distinguished in-house fish meister.

The Human Side of the Seashore
Long ago in the late Edo period of Japan, this was a small fishing village with 17 houses. Since then, it has grown into a full port-town with a rich and unique history and culture. Hama no Utase inherits this history and culture and carries it forward into the future.

    Liveliness of the Seashore
In tandem with the returning fishing boats, hand carts begin moving. The hustle and bustle of the port is in itself a sight to behold. Visitors can feel the energy of all this activity up close; this way our locality will be known far and wide thanks to this new attraction.
